PSL Rating: Free AI Face Rating on the PSL Scale

Upload one photo and get a PSL rating from 1.0 to 8.0, its tier, seven separate feature scores, and what to work on first.

Overview

This page does one thing: you upload a photo and it returns your PSL rating. PSL comes from the looksmax community, named after three early forums (PUAhate, SlutHate and Lookism) and usually read as "Pretty Scale Looks". It runs from 1 to 8 and is deliberately harsher than an everyday 1-10 rating, so most people land in the 5s. The tool rates the face in the photo you upload, then breaks the result into seven features scored out of 100: jawline, eye area, nose, lips, skin, hair and grooming, and facial symmetry. Every score has to name something visible in your photo. If your face is hidden by shadow, a hat or a heavy filter, the tool says so and lowers its confidence instead of guessing.

  • •One photo in, a PSL rating from 1.0 to 8.0 out, with its tier label
  • •Seven feature scores (0-100) in a fixed order, so repeat runs stay comparable

  • •A confidence rating that says how much the lighting and angle limited the read

Features

A rating from a single photo

No forms and no self-assessment. Upload one front-facing photo and the model reads the features itself, then returns the score and the tier that matches it.

Seven independent feature scores

Each feature is scored on its own, so a strong jaw cannot hide weak skin. The gap between your best and worst feature is where to start.

Tier matches the number

Your shareable title uses the same tier as your score, so a 6.4 is never labelled "Chadlite". The PSL Scale Explained page lists every tier.

Honest confidence

Blur, heavy shadow, filters and extreme angles lower both the affected feature score and the overall confidence, and the tool tells you why.

How It Works

1

Take a neutral photo

Look straight at the camera with a neutral expression and your hair off your forehead. Stand at arm's length in soft, even light. Close-up selfies distort the nose and jaw and can cost you half a point.

2

Upload it

One image is enough. Nothing to fill in, no measurements to take. JPG or PNG, front-facing, face filling most of the frame.

3

Read your PSL rating

You get one number from 1.0 to 8.0, its tier, and the seven feature scores that produced it, each citing a visible cue such as jaw edge, brow ridge, under-eye area or skin texture.

4

Work on the weakest score

Start with the lowest feature score and the five tips. Skin, hair and grooming, and photo angle respond to effort within weeks. Bone structure mostly does not.

Use Cases

A looksmax baseline

Rate yourself before a new skincare routine, haircut or fitness phase, then retest later in the same light and at the same angle.

Key Benefits:

  • •Fixed criteria make runs comparable
  • •Shows which changes actually moved a score

Choosing your best photo

Run two or three photos of yourself. The difference usually comes from lighting and angle, not your face. Use that to pick your profile picture.

Key Benefits:

  • •Shows how much the camera distorts
  • •Better dating and profile photos
