AI Phenotype Analysis

A photo-based phenotype read: 14 visible facial traits, a six-region ancestry estimate that adds up to 100%, and a named phenotype you can share.

Overview

A phenotype is the set of traits you can actually see, such as face shape, bone structure, eye set, nose bridge, skin undertone and hair texture. Phenotype guessers online usually give you one word, like "Nordid" or "Mediterranid". This tool shows its working instead. It describes each trait it reads from your photo, then maps the overall pattern to six specific regions, such as Iberian, Levantine or Northwestern European, and gives a one-line reason for each. Vague labels like "European" or "Mixed" are not used. It is a look-based estimate, not a DNA result. Two siblings can get different reads, and so can one person photographed in different light.

  • •14 traits: face shape, bone structure, jawline, cheekbones, nose bridge and tip, eye shape and set, canthal tilt, lips, skin undertone and tone, hair texture, forehead
  • •Six named regions with percentages that sum to exactly 100, each with the trait that drove it
  • •A two-to-five-word phenotype title, three signature features and three regional look-alike vibes
  • •A four-sentence summary covering your strongest traits, geography and what makes your look distinctive

Features

Trait-by-trait breakdown

Every trait gets its own line, such as "high, forward cheekbones" or "straight, narrow nose bridge", so you can see what the estimate is based on.

Six specific regions

Results use labels like Balkan, Anatolian, Nordic, East African or Southeast Asian, never a single catch-all. Small percentages are the weak signals.

Phenotype title

A short, screenshot-ready name for your overall pattern, such as "Levantine Coastal Type", plus a six-word vibe line.

Look-alike regions, not celebrities

Three regional look-alikes, such as "Southern Italian coastal look", instead of comparing you to famous people.

How It Works

1

Use a clear, front-facing photo

Face the camera in even daylight, with no filter, sunglasses or heavy makeup. Beauty filters change skin tone and nose shape, and those feed the estimate directly.

2

The traits are read first

The model describes the 14 visible traits before it names any region, so every regional percentage can point back to something in your photo.

3

Regions are weighted and ranked

The traits are matched against six regional patterns, weighted to add up to 100% and sorted from strongest to weakest match.

4

Compare two photos

Run a second photo taken in different light. Traits that show up in both runs are the reliable part of your read.

Use Cases

Answering "what phenotype am I?"

Get a named pattern with a reason for each part of it, instead of a one-word label from a forum thread.

Key Benefits:

  • •Traits you can check yourself in the mirror
  • •Specific regions, not "mixed"

Comparing with a DNA test

If you have done a consumer DNA test, set the two side by side. Where the photo read and your DNA disagree, you are seeing the difference between how you look and where your ancestors came from.

Key Benefits:

  • •Shows which traits are the most visible
  • •A fun way to discuss your results with family
