How to play
In the classic Who Am I? game someone sticks a name on your forehead and you ask yes/no questions until you work out who you are. Here the AI keeps the secret: it picks a well-known character, answers honestly, and drops a hint if you get stuck. Want it the other way round? It can guess yours in 10 questions.
Ask for a round and the AI picks a character: cartoon, book, game, film or history. Ask yes/no questions ("Am I real?", "Do I have powers?") and name your guess when you are ready. After about five questions it offers a hint.
Start with real or fictional, human or not, and which medium (book, film, game). Then era, side (hero or villain) and a signature item. Save your named guess until the clues point one way.
Choose a theme first, such as history, animals or a single book series, so everyone has a fair chance. One person types, the room argues about the next question.
Think of a character and answer its questions. It is capped at 10 and usually commits to a named guess by question four to six.
How is this different from charades?
Nobody acts. It is all yes/no questions, the way the Who Am I? party game is played.
Which characters can it be?
Any well-known, family-friendly character from cartoons, books, games, films or history.
Can I pick a theme?
Yes. Say "history only" or "animated films" before the round starts.
How many questions does it take?
When you guess, the AI starts hinting after about five questions. When it guesses yours, it stops at 10.
