Start with a blank map and a name. You choose the land (coast, mountains, river plains, desert or islands) and the idea your country is founded on, then make one big decision every decade for a hundred years while four invented neighbours react.
Name it, choose its geography and a founding ideal such as trade, knowledge, strength, faith, freedom or harmony. Geography gives a strength and a weakness; the ideal decides which policies pay off.
Each turn is a decade with an event (a drought, a border dispute, an invention) and a choice. Six national stats change with what you pick.
Trade deals, science and alliances can carry you to a great century as well as war, and usually cost less.
After ten decades you get a short chronicle of what your country became, its final stats and a title that sums up your reign.
Can I make my own country from scratch?

Is it based on real countries?
