Writing your own vows is harder than it looks, because they should sound like you. This wedding vows generator takes the memory and the promises you give it and builds vows with an opening, a shared moment, a set of promises and a close. Pick the style and the length, read them out loud and make them yours.
How to write wedding vows with this tool
1. Enter your partner's first name and the kind of ceremony.
2. Pick a style, from traditional to funny and sweet.
3. Tell the story of a moment between you.
4. List what you love about them or what you want to promise.
5. Choose a length and press Write my vows.
What a good set of vows includes
Most strong vows share a short opening, one real memory, a few honest promises and a line about the future. They are spoken, so short sentences and plain words work best. Aim for one to two minutes.
Your words, not an invented story
The tool only uses the memory and promises you typed. It does not make up dates, places, nicknames or inside jokes, and it avoids copying famous vows or religious text. If something is missing, add it by hand.
Practise out loud
Read the draft aloud twice and cross out anything you stumble on. Print it in large type, bring a copy for the officiant and keep a spare in a pocket. The word count at the end tells you roughly how long it takes to read.
Questions
Is the wedding vows generator free?
Yes, it is free to use. There is a daily limit on free runs.
Can it write vows for a vow renewal?
Yes. Choose vow renewal and the draft speaks about your years together without making up how many.
How long will my vows be?
Pick under 100, 100 to 200 or 200 to 300 words. A line at the end gives the word count and an approximate reading time.
Will it invent a story about us?
No. It builds on the memory and promises you typed. Give it one real moment and it stays true to that.
Does it include religious wording?
No. It avoids scripture and religious text. If you want traditional faith wording, add it yourself or ask your officiant.
Can both partners use it?
Yes. Each of you can enter your own memory and promises and write separate vows with the same style and length.
