A pitch deck template tells you the slide names; it doesn't tell you what to say. Describe your startup and round, and get a slide-by-slide outline with a headline that makes a claim, the content and visual for each slide, and speaker notes.
The standard pitch deck order
Problem, solution, why now, market, product, business model, traction, go-to-market, competition, team, financials and the ask. Investors skim, so the order matters: the outline follows the flow most seed investors expect and trims to 10, 12 or 15 slides.
Headlines that make a claim
'Traction' is a label. '85 restaurants, 12% monthly growth' is an argument. Each slide gets a headline that states its point, so someone flipping through the deck without you still gets the story.
Prepare for the questions
Every outline ends with the questions investors are likely to ask at your stage. To pressure-test the plan behind the deck, run it through the Go-to-Market Strategy Generator or the Startup Idea Validator.
Questions
How many slides should a pitch deck have?
Most seed decks land between 10 and 15 slides. Shorter is usually better for a first send; keep extra detail in an appendix.
Does it design the slides?
It writes the outline, headlines, content and visual suggestions. You can paste them into any slide tool.
Is it only for venture capital?
No. Choose angels, or a pitch competition or demo day, and the emphasis shifts to fit.
