The right interview outfit is one level smarter than what people wear there every day. Tell the planner the role, the kind of company and whether it is in person or on video, and it picks the level, the outfit and a backup.
One level above the office
If the team wears jeans, wear chinos and a good knit or blouse. If they wear business casual, add a blazer. If they wear suits, wear the suit. The planner starts by naming that level so the rest is easy.
Video interviews are different
On camera only the top third of you shows, fine patterns flicker and white can glow. Video plans come with camera notes on color, necklines and where the light should be.
