Want to see the couch in green before you order it, or the car in a color the dealer does not have on the lot? Upload the photo, type what to recolor and the color you want, and this AI image color changer repaints just that part. Folds, grain, reflections and shadows stay where they were, so the result reads as a real photo rather than a flat fill.
Change the color of an image with AI, one object at a time
Describe the target in plain words - "the left armchair", "his hoodie", "the kitchen cabinets" - and give the new color as a name, a paint-style description or a hex code. Specific beats vague: "dusty sage green, satin finish" gets closer than "green". To recolor two different things, run it once for each and keep the version you like.
Replace a color in an image online, free
Pick "Swap that color everywhere" and name a color rather than an object, for example "all the orange to teal". Every area of that color is moved to the new one: useful for matching a product shot to a brand palette, trying a room in a different accent color, or turning a red dress into the navy version from the same shoot.
Tips for a believable recolor
Use a well-lit photo where the object is in focus and not tiny in the frame. Very light to very dark changes, such as white to black, can lose detail in the shadows, so try a mid-tone first. If the edge bleeds onto something nearby, name the object more precisely and run it again. For hand-painted, pixel-exact tinting, FastShot's manual Color Changer editor lets you select the area yourself.
What it does not do
It works on one photo per run, up to 8 MB. It is told to leave faces, skin tone, hair, text and logos alone, and it will not change a person's skin color. Small or partly hidden objects are harder to isolate and may need a second try. Free runs are paced, so a burst of edits may ask you to wait a moment.
Questions
Is the AI image color changer free?
Yes. Runs are free and paced; if you send a lot in a short time you may be asked to wait briefly before the next one.
Can I use a hex code or a paint color name?
Yes. Hex codes like #2E4A62, everyday names like burnt orange, and descriptions like soft matte olive all work. Paint brand names are read as a description of the color, not matched to an exact swatch.
Will it change anything else in the photo?
It is instructed to keep everything except the target the same, including lighting and framing. Look closely at edges where the object touches something of a similar color, and rerun with a more precise target if needed.
Can I change the color of a car, a wall or clothes?
Yes - those are the most common uses. For whole rooms or house exteriors, the Room Paint Color Visualizer and exterior paint tools give more design control.
Why does the new color look slightly different from my hex code?
The color is applied under the light in your photo, so warm or dim lighting shifts how it looks, just as real paint does.
