Wrist Size & Watch Strap Chart

Match wrist size to watch strap width and bracelet length. Men and women sizing chart plus free AI wrist measurement from a photo.

Why wrist size matters

Watch cases and straps that overpower a small wrist look clumsy; undersized watches on large wrists read as toy-like. Strap width, lug-to-lug distance, and bracelet circumference should scale with wrist circumference.

Quick strap width guide

These are common starting points — always try on when possible:

  • Wrist under 6" (15 cm): 18–20 mm strap, compact case under 38 mm
  • Wrist 6–7" (15–18 cm): 20–22 mm strap, 38–42 mm case
  • Wrist 7–7.5" (18–19 cm): 22–24 mm strap, 40–44 mm case
  • Wrist over 7.5" (19 cm+): 24–26 mm strap, 42 mm+ case

Measure accurately

Wrap a tape measure around the wrist bone below the hand — snug, not tight. Or upload a reference photo to our AI wrist analyzer for an estimate before buying straps online.
